Lucinda made the whole photography experience so fun and seamless. During the ceremony and reception you would not have known that she was there, and yet she managed to get phenomenal photos! We had such fun during the photos after the ceremony – it was all so candid and natural (perfect for us!). She also kept to our timeline as she knew we wanted to get back to party!
Absolutely! She is so efficient, creative and an all round awesome person!
We invested in Thank You cards – we ordered them in a panic on the honeymoon and she made the whole process so efficient. Even though our images weren’t ready yet, she chose and edited some for us to preview. We picked up the cards not long after the honeymoon and they are such beautiful quality!
Don’t be scared of them! Just stay in the moment, have fun and laugh a lot! We have so many photos with double chins galore and we LOVE it because it means we were having the best time!
We met 10 years ago through my brother, when we were both teenagers.
Angus proposed on Boxing Day 2016. We had our first Adelaide Christmas with both of our families (we are originally from Qld). We decided to take them all on a wine tour. And without me knowing, Angus had asked my brother and Dad to marry me. Our families were inside tasting wines at Bird in Hand Winery (one of our favourites) when Angus asked me to take a photo outside with him. Before I knew it he was down on one knee. It was such a whirlwind and surprise. We then went home and celebrated with our two families!
Our engagement was about 2 years long, so we planned in stages which didn’t make it stressful at all. We planned most of the wedding ourselves (however, we did have some amazing help from 28 Blossom Street with the styling of Chapel Hill, which made the process so easy!).
Surprisingly not, I was so excited. The most nerve-racking part was waiting for guests to arrive and then for the music to start. Once it started, I didn’t even notice any nerves!
Wow, there are so many! Favourite part (apart from marrying the love of our lives) was after our photos. We were walking back to the venue and we could see all of our guests having a great time. That was the moment where we thought “wow, all of these people are here for us!”
Another favourite was sunset photos! Although, it took poor Lucinda a while to drag us away from our guests! We are so thankful she did because those photos are some of our favourites and when we were walking back to the venue, the band started playing a great song, we started dancing and there are some great shots of that!
How would you describe your overall wedding day experience?
Such a fun day filled with love! I don’t think we stopped smiling. The day was a whirlwind, but to be honest we wouldn’t have it any other way! We will forever treasure the perfect day that we had.
What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
Enjoy every minute of it. Don’t stress too much, all that matters is that you have fun. We recommend using a stylist as we did not have to worry about set-up, pack-down and all the creative stuff (which we aren’t very good at).
Where did you escape to for your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to other couples?
We went to France and Monaco for our honeymoon and we absolutely recommend! The Loire Valley (particularly Amboise) has to be the highlight of our trip!
