How has your experience been with Lucinda May Photography?
Our experience with Lucinda was very positive overall. Her communication was always prompt and helpful, and everything was so easy to organise as she always made the time. On the big day Lucinda made it fun and we were able to relax and be ourselves which was very important to us. We didn’t have a single stress with Lucinda in the lead up to or on our wedding day because of her professionalism along with her personable approach.
Why would you recommend Lucinda May Photography to friends?
We would recommend Lucinda to our friends because we could trust in her to capture all of the special moments on our wedding day. Not only were the photos beautiful, but we can look back on our experience together and be happy that it was completely stress free, so fun and relaxed, and that we could just be ourselves while Lucinda did her thing in the background.
What beautiful products did you invest in from Lucinda May Photography and why?
We were able to purchase all of our beautiful photos from Lucinda on USB so we can look back at them all and see the moments we may have missed on the day.
Can you give any tips for couples on how to prepare for the wedding photos?
One tip for preparation for the wedding photos would definitely be to have an engagement shoot with Lucinda! This made us 100% more comfortable on the day as we both had never been professionally photographed and we then knew what to expect for the wedding day. Plus you can have some beautiful photos to make you even more excited about the whole experience!
How did you two love birds meet?
We met in 2011 at a friend’s surprise 16th birthday party through a close mutual friend
Who popped the question and how did it happen? Was it a surprise? Spill…
Mitchell had planned the whole thing in secret, as he knows I love surprises! He took us to one of our favourite cafes for our favourite breakfast, then to the Mt. Lofty botanical gardens as he knows I love going there. At the top of a hill he got down on on knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes and we had celebratory drinks with our family and friends that night which Mitchell had already planned!
How long was your engagement & how long did you have to plan your wedding and did you plan the wedding yourself?
Our engagement was 18 months and we took that whole time to plan the wedding ourselves.
Were you nervous walking down the aisle?
I didn’t have a single nerve walking down the or throughout the whole day!
What was your favourite moment(s) from your beautiful wedding day?
I cannot choose just one moment. We loved every minute of it, spending it celebrating with all of our closest family and friends. However, dancing the night away was quite fun!!
How would you describe your overall wedding day experience?
It was the best day of our lives! Everything we hoped for and more! It was a fun, relaxed and joyful day.
What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
Do what you want to do and don’t worry about what other people want the day to be – it is your day. Try to focus on ticking little things off at a time as you go, lock in Lucinda May for your photos straight away, and get your venue sorted as soon as you can! Do the research to find the best deals for your, DIY projects are always fun and a cost effective way to have awesome decorations. Try your best not to procrastinate (although it gets hard) and always remember why you are putting yourself through the wedding planning stress – it will all be worth it!
Where did you escape to for your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to other couples?
We decided to go to Hamilton Island for our honeymoon as we wanted to get away on a tropical resort but didn’t really want to go overseas. We would 100% recommend this as a honeymoon destination.
