Jordan + Emma | Adelaide Wedding Photographer

How has your experience been with Lucinda May Photography?
Just perfect! Lucinda is lovely to work with, she is very professional and has a relaxed vibe which makes it easier when posing in front of a camera.
Why would you recommend Lucinda May Photography to friends?
Lucinda did an amazing job capturing and delivering our most special moments. She completely exceeded our expectations, she makes taking photos a comfortable experience and has an amazing style.
What beautiful products did you invest in from Lucinda May Photography and why?
We invested in the digital wedding images, however we are thinking to invest in an album later on.
Can you give any tips for couples on how to prepare for the wedding photos?
Do research on your venue in case there are any special spots you want to capture. Put trust in the photographer, even when you might feel uncomfortable you can trust that the image that will be delivered will be perfect. Try to be in the moment with your partner, taking photos can be unnatural for some, so remember to take a breath and really enjoy your special day together.
How did you two love birds meet?
We met in high school in the canteen line and we have been inseparable ever since.
Who popped the question and how did it happen? Was it a surprise? Spill…
Jordy popped the question in Japan overlooking Mt Fuji in a park just the two of us. It was a surprise, so romantic and well thought out.
How long was your engagement & how long did you have to plan your wedding and did you plan the wedding yourself?
We were engaged for just under 2 years before we got married so that gave us plenty of time to plan our wedding. We did start planning immediately for the crucial things like the venue, photographer, videographer etc. We did all the planning ourselves.
Were you nervous walking down the aisle?
I wasn’t nervous, I was just super anxious and excited to see Jordy. I was a little worried about walking down the ramp and tripping over, but my dad did a good job in making me feel at ease about that.
What was your favourite moment(s) from your beautiful wedding day?
Seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony was a bitter sweet moment for both of us. But it’s honestly so hard to pick one moment, we loved the entire day.
How would you describe your overall wedding day experience?
Absolutely amazing. Leading up to the wedding day you have worries about the day not coming together or having bad weather but everything on our special day came together so perfectly, there isn’t a thing in the world we would change about our day thanks to everyone involved.
What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
Start planning as soon as you can, make a list or use a planner to help make sure you cover everything and don’t be afraid to ask for help. On your wedding day please take a moment to stop and just absorb what is happening around you and the time you are spending with your partner. We cannot stress this enough. Before you know it, the day will be over and you’ll wish you could do it all over again!
Where did you escape to for your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to other couples?
We went to Savusavu in Fiji, a beautiful lush island with only a few honeymoon resorts and lovely locals. We would absolutely recommend Savusavu to other couples who are looking to relax, eat and drink cocktails, snorkel and enjoy living on what the locals call ‘Fijian time.’
