Our experience with Lucinda has been fantastic from start to finish. Lucinda was easy going yet professional, and there were so many small touches she put in along the way which I really appreciated. On my wedding day Lucinda went above and beyond helping with every detail to make the perfect photos as well as helping our wedding day go well.
I cried when I had the first look at our wedding photos! Lucinda had captured so many moments and emotions on our wedding day that I was able to enjoy again. I don’t think I could give any better feedback than this.
We invested in a fine art album. We thought this would be the best way to share the photos with family and friends for years to come.
We just had a lot of fun! Lucinda did all the hard work. But make sure you have thought about any important people or moments that you want captured on the day.
We were introduced by a friend and work colleague who happened to visit my house with Simon one day when I wasn’t home. This left Simon asking many questions about his work colleague’s friend to which my friend may have talked me up a bit. Simon’s response was that I sounded like his ‘future wife’. I may have found this out very quickly. We then had a chance encounter and a short time afterwards Simon asked me on our first date.
Simon proposed whilst we were on holiday in Port Douglas in a hot air balloon at sunrise. He woke me up at 4am and had a chauffeur driver take us out to the field where the hot air balloon was waiting. Whilst enjoying the sunrise he popped the question.
I was very nervous to begin with, my heart was racing. However, we had some funny moments including a runaway 2 year old nephew and my veil flying away before I got to the aisle which helped me relax and enjoy the moment.
Our favourite part of the day was the wedding ceremony. I enjoyed being able to look around at family and friends who were present who had contributed to our journey so far and also being able to share that intimate moment and our vows in front of those who matter the most.
We also had a lot of fun with our first dance which was a latin American dance to Despacito, something which surprised everyone.
How would you describe your overall wedding day experience?
We had an amazing day. We felt very lucky with how everything turned out. The parts that were important to us and that we put our efforts into turned out very well. It certainly took some time afterwards to reflect on the day and all of the happy moments we had.
What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
Think about the things that mean the most to you on the day- whether it is important people to include, important moments or the parts of the day that you and your guests will remember forever. The hard work will pay off. And sometimes the things you haven’t thought about will just happen.
Where did you escape to for your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to other couples?
We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I would absolutely recommend it as a honeymoon destination. There are so many things to do from cultural activities, watersports, hiking, restaurants, shopping and of course just lazing by the pool. As well as the most beautiful sunsets!
